Chairman PCB felicitate Emirates Cricket Board
Lahore – February 1, 2014: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ch Zaka Ashraf and Chief Operating Officer Mr Subhan Ahmad have felicitated the Emirates Cricket Board on the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) team qualifying for the ICC World Cup 2015.
“I congratulate the Emirates Cricket Board and the Team UAE on achieving the distinction of qualifying for the ICC World Cup 2015.Featuring in the World Cup proper shall definitely provide the Team UAE with a great opportunity to play against the top teams and showcase their amazing talent.
“Such a result has been made possible owing to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Al Nahyan, Chairman Emirates Cricket Board, the superb management of Emirates Cricket Board , and hard work of the Team UAE,” said Ch Zaka Ashraf in his message to the Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board.
The PCB COO Mr Subhan Ahmad in his message said: “PCB has a very special relationship with the Emirates Cricket Board. The UAE is Pakistan’s home base these days, and in this regard the Emirates Cricket Board’s assistance in hosting our series there is of critical import. Owing to our close interaction, PCB is naturally delighted at this achievement of the Team UAE”.
The UAE had qualified along with Scotland for the World Cup. As Scotland go to the pool ‘A’, the UAE will be placed in pool ‘B’, where the other teams are Pakistan, South Africa, India, the West Indies and Zimbabwe.
