Fawad Alam and Keshav Maharaj review second day's play

Karachi, 27 January 2021: Fawad Alam’s 109 and half-centuries from Azhar Ali and Faheem Ashraf lifted Pakistan to 308 for eight, giving them a crucial 88-run lead, on day two of the first Test against South Africa at the National Stadium.

Over the course of his third century, Fawad stitched partnerships worth 94 and 102 with Azhar and Faheem for the fifth and seventh wicket, respectively.

For South Africa, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi took two wickets each.

After stumps, South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj and Pakistan’s Fawad Alam held online virtual media conferences.
