HOW CAN I SPONSOR AN EVENT FOR PCB?

You can sponsor an event by buying rights from PCB. This sponsorship can be in any form, online or offline or both. It starts with logos and promotional products and finishing with setting up the entire sports events.Rights are sold through the process of bidding according to PPRA laws (ppra.org.pk). 

Once you have obtained the rights you can bring in sponsors according to the tournaments. The key rights & brand partnerships include: 

  • TV broadcast, digital, social media integrationMarketing rights 
  • Signage and in-stadia branding
  • Tickets and hospitality 
  • Right to implement consumer promotions
  • Product exclusivity

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SPONSORS/PARTNERSHIPS?

Media partners: Media outlets that will help you spread the word about your event and will elevate the tournament exposure.

Venue partners: Venues and locations that may offer to host your event, using your tournament as a means of drawing more people to their location.

Cash sponsors: These people will provide finances to cover expenses, increase exposure, and provide the customized experience you want to create. They will do so in return for marketing and exposure of their brand.

Prize sponsors: Companies that will offer items you can use to award players and teams.

Shirt sponsor:  The Right to Brand the National Team Shirt. Logo of the sponsor appears on the front and side of the National Teams kit

Instadia: The right to display brand logos around the field and inside the stadium.

WHO ARE THE CURRENT SPONSORS?

Current sponsors for International/Domestic cricket are Pepsi, HBL, Cool & Cool, TUC biscuits & Brighto Paints.  Currently Transmedia holds rights of sponsorship for PCB.

WHERE IS THE TICKET OFFICE LOCATED?

For matches in Pakistan our partners are TCS and for UAE our partners are Q Tickets. All the tickets are available at TCS designated express centers. In UAE we have online, Box office at venues and Point Of Sale such as UAE exchange, Al Hurair, Al Fardan and Kiosks at camps.

CAN THE TICKETS BE BOUGHT ONLINE?

Yes the tickets can be bought online and at Point of sales with cash/credit cards. We have TCS as our ticketing partner in Pakistan and Q Tickets in UAE. We activate TCS Express Centres for all matches that takes place in Pakistan. The centres are activated on the basis of event magnitude and location. Payments for online and POS can be made through cash/cards.

WHAT IS THE PLAYER ACQUISITION PROCESS IN PCB?

The Board decides on a selection committee and that selection committee is responsible for the process.

WHAT CONSTITUTES AS THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF PCB?

PCB’s IP is vast ranging but necessarily includes amongst others:

  • PCB Star Logo
  • PSL Logo
  • PSL Franchise Team Names
  • PSL Franchise Team Logos
  • Kit Designs for all PSL and PCB Teams 
  • PSL Anthems
  • Broadcast and production content of all Cricket matches organized and/or held under the auspices of the PCB 

CAN I USE THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF PCB? 

The PCB and PSL trademarks are the exclusive intellectual property of PCB and cannot be used without PCB’s prior written consent.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE CONTENT I.E. TEXTS, IMAGES AND VIDEOS, ON THE OFFICIAL PCB AND PSL WEBSITES?

No content which is part of the website, digital content match footages may be copied, republished, stored, reproduced or transmitted, in any form or by any means, without the prior written authorization of PCB.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RULES GOVERNING CRICKET IN PAKISTAN?

PCB is the sole governing body for the game of cricket in Pakistan and operates in accordance with the PCB Constitution and other rules and regulations approved by the PCB Board of Governors.

What is the mechanism for redressal of any grievance against decisions of the Pakistan Cricket Board?

Any person or entity aggrieved by the decision of PCB, its officials or Members may challenge the same under Article 37 of the PCB Constitution.
