Lahore, 20 December 2025: A fine all-round performance by Ali Usman Khan guided Beaconhouse to a thrilling two-wicket win over Aitchison College in the final of the PCB-Ghani Glass Schools Tournament on Sunday evening at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Chasing 202 to win, Beaconhouse showed composure under pressure to reach 204 for eight in 30.5 overs, with Yaqoob Khan anchoring the chase through a well-compiled 55. Ali Usman Khan, who had earlier impressed with the ball, played a decisive unbeaten knock of 35 to take his side over the line.
Earlier, Aitchison College, after opting to bat, were bowled out for 201 in 40 overs. Zunnurain Qayyum top-scored with 47, while Abdul Wasay Sammar added 42 runs. Beaconhouse bowlers kept things tight, with Ali leading the attack by claiming four wickets for 28 runs, while Naveed Khan supported well with figures of four for 48.
Despite disciplined bowling from Aitchison College in the second innings, Mughees Wasif picking up three wickets for 32 and Ali Malik returning two for 29, Beaconhouse held their nerve in the closing stages to seal the title.
For his match-winning all-round performance, Ali Usman Khan was adjudged player of the match.
