Karachi, 11 January 2026: The third day of the third round of President’s Trophy Grade-I 2025-26 saw Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) beat Sahir Associates by an innings and 32 runs, while Pakistan Television (PTV) bagged an 88-run win as action took place at four venues across Karachi on Sunday.

Amad Butt’s match figures of 10-80 and Musa Khan’s second hat-trick in a space of five first-class games led PTV to an emphatic 88-run victory – their second in the tournament – after conceding a first-innings deficit of 37 runs at the National Bank Stadium.

Chasing 157 to win, Ghani Glass were consigned to a mere 68 all out in 14 overs as Amad and Musa ran riot with the ball. Amad completed his bag of six wickets – his 9th haul of five or more in first-class cricket – in just 29 balls as Ghani Glass slipped to 23-7 in 8.5 overs. This was also the second time he collected a 10-fer in the format.

A 45-run stand between Test players Noman Ali (23, 15b, 4x4s) and Khurram Shahzad (22, 15b, 2x4s, 1x6) saved Ghani Glass from immediate collapse. Musa wrapped up the innings by knocking off Khurram, Mir Hamza and Afaq Afridi on last three balls of 14th over.

Earlier, PTV resumed their second innings from overnight score of 153-7 in 49 overs and were bowled out for 193 in 58.2 overs with Mir Hamza taking 4-54 as he completed a match tally of 9-109

WAPDA made it three wins out of as many games as they romped to an innings and 32-run win at the UBL Sports Complex after fast bowler Mohammad Zeeshan helped them dismiss Sahir Associates for 188 all out in 46.2 overs with his best innings and match figures in first-class cricket.

Zeeshan bested his previous innings figures of five for 37 with six for 66 in 18 overs and collected match figures of 9-89 eclipsing his 7-129 against SNGPL in last iteration of the departmental four-day event. His second first-class five-for didn’t let Sahir erase the 126-run overnight deficit as they resumed day three with 94-5 in 30 overs.

Mohammad Adil backed Zeeshan with three for 65 taking his match tally to 7-89. Sahir’s no.9 batter Mohammad Mohsin Khan blasted a 53-ball 51 including six fours and three sixes but in vain.

SNGPL needed two wickets, while SBP required another 54 runs to win as they were 170-8 at close of play at the State Bank Stadium after an eventful day three.

Chasing 224 for a win, SBP slumped to 31-4 and then 125-7 as Abdullah Fazal (41, 73b, 5x4s) and Rameez Aziz (29, 40b, 2x4s, 1x6) salvaged their innings, while Qasim Akram took them to close with five fours-laden 33 not out off 54 balls.

SNGPL’s Shehzad Gul bagged 5-49 to back up his first innings figures of 5-37 registering his maiden 10-wicket match haul in first-class cricket. Shahnawaz Dahani dismissed two batters.

Earlier, SBP’s Niaz Khan bagged his sixth five-wicket haul (5-38) as SNGPL fell flat in their second innings getting bowled out for just 75 in 36.3 overs after resuming from overnight score of 23-3 in 13 overs. Shan Masood top-scored with 26. Mohammad Ismail and Mohammad Abbas picked up two wickets each.

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) closed the day three against Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) with 96-run second innings lead as they were 199-4 in 68 overs with Mohammad Sarwar Afridi unbeaten on 90 off 130 balls (8x4s, 3x6s) and Adil Amin 33 not out off 86 balls inclusive of four fours.

The duo added 64 runs after they came together at 135-4 when OGDCL were only 32 runs ahead of KRL and looking to set a competitive total. KRL’s Arshad Iqbal had taken three of the four wickets to fall.

Earlier, KRL were dismissed for 347 in 105.5 overs in their first innings after resuming from overnight score of 305-5 in 90 overs. OGDCL’s skipper Adil returned figures of three for 33 in 17.5 overs with six maidens.
