Faisalabad, 22 November 2025: The fifth round of the National Women’s One-Day Tournament 2025-26 concluded with Conquerors and Challengers bagging wins, while Invincibles and Strikers both succumbed to their third defeat each on Saturday in Faisalabad.

The sixth round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday, 25 November with Conquerors facing Stars and Invincibles taking on Challengers.

Challengers romped to a five-wicket victory – their second in the tournament out of four games - over Strikers chasing down the 209-run target with 38 balls to spare as player of the match Ayesha Zafar and Eyman Fatima struck half-centuries at the Jawad Club Cricket Ground, Faisalabad.

In pursuit of the target, opening duo Ayesha and Sadaf Shamas (44, 42b, 8x4s) provided their team a solid start with a 78-run stand before they lost four wickets for 38 runs as Mahnoor Aftab (10-1-25-3) struck thrice, while leg-spinner Ghulam Fatima too chipped in with a wicket.

At this juncture, Ayesha (83, 101b, 7x4s) and n0.6 batter Eyman Fatima got together to form a 76-run alliance before Nashra Sundhu caught the former off her own bowling. Eyman remained unbeaten for 59 off 68 balls hitting eight fours and one six.

Earlier, opting to bat first, Strikers slumped to 34-4 before centurion Aliya Riaz – backing up her 97 from the previous game – and Nashra joined forces to take their team out of trouble with an unbeaten 174-run stand.

Aliya’s 101 not out came off 107 balls and with the help of six fours and four sixes, while Nashra kept one end safe with 50 not out off 103 balls striking four fours. For Challengers, skipper Rameen Shamim returned economical figures of 10-3-14-2.

Strikers now sit at the bottom of the table with one win out of four games, while Challengers are placed third with two wins and as many losses in four games.

In the second game of the round, table toppers Conquerors successfully defended their 244-run total restricting no.4 placed Invincibles to 206 all out in 44.4 overs at the HPC Ground, Faisalabad.

Conquerors’ opening pair Saira Jabeen and Gull Feroza vindicated their skipper’s decision to bat first with a 124-run opening stand. Player of the match Saira scored 88 off 113 balls hitting 12 fours, while Gull struck eight fours in her 61-ball 64 before both fell to left-arm spinner Momina Riasat.

Invincibles then made inroads taking the 10 wickets for 120 runs with n0.8 Ayesha Bilal (29, 48b, 3x4s) and no.9 Amber Kainat (16, 20b, 1x4) chipping in with handy lower-order contributions. For Invincibles, Tasmia Rubab, Momina Riasat, Laiba Mansoor, Ayesha Rehman and Tuba Hassan picked up two wickets each.

Despite half-centuries from Muneeba (51, 62b, 8x4s) and Natalia (66, 71b, 9x4s), Invincibles lost nine wickets for 103 runs as Conquerors’ left-arm spinners Saima Malik (3-31) and Ayesha Bilal (3-46) along with off-spinner Umm-e-Hani (2-40) landed continuous blows.
