Karachi, 18 January 2026: The fourth round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I 2025-26 concluded with Ghani Glass, Sahir Associates and Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) emerging victorious on the fourth day at three venues in Karachi.

One of the four games in the round ended on Saturday with Pakistan Television bagging a historic two-run win over Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). The fifth round will begin at the same four venues in Karachi from Wednesday, 21 January with all the matches set to be live-streamed on Tapmad (Pakistan) and PCB YouTube channel (outside Pakistan).

Ghani Glass’ captain and Test spinner Noman Ali registered figures of seven for 59 and five for 45 against Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) as they pocketed a 106-run win. The left-arm spinner bested his previous match figures of 12-114 with 12-104.

On the fourth day, WAPDA resumed their pursuit of the 243-run target with overnight score of 108-5 in 36 overs and were bowled out for 136 in 45.3 overs as Noman picked up his 36th first-class five-for. Test fast bowler Khurram Shahzad picked up four for 40 in 14 overs.

WAPDA’s three straight wins in the first three rounds made sure they remained on the top of the table despite a loss in this round with 81 points followed by PTV, who have 71 to their name.

Sahir Associates registered their first win in four games as they beat Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) by 64 runs, successfully defending the 156-run target.

Pacers Khan Zaib (13-4-34-5) and Razaullah (14-4-37-5) were instrumental in delivering the triumph as they shared five wickets each bowling 27 of the 29 overs in the second innings.

OGDCL slumped to 32-6 before Mohammad Sarwar Afridi’s unbeaten 41 off 53 balls inclusive of six fours resisted Sahir’s advance but in vain as they were skittled for 91.

Earlier, KRL took 41 balls to wrap up Sahir Associates’ second innings from overnight score of 147-8 in 68.5 overs as they took their 138-run lead above the 150-run mark.

At the SBP Sports Complex, KRL chased the 41-run target against SBP in 8.4 overs as opening batters Shahzaib Khan and Saad Baig remained unbeaten for 25 and 18, respectively. KRL are now third on the table with 68 points, just two ahead of SNGPL.
