Colombo, 21 February 2026: The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eight match between Pakistan and New Zealand at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo was called off due to persistent rain after the toss, with no play possible on the day.
The toss was held on time, but rain set in immediately afterwards and continued long enough for the officials to abandon the contest without a ball being bowled as both sides shared one point each.
Pakistan had made one change to their playing XI for the fixture, with Fakhar Zaman replacing Khawaja Nafay.
Pakistan will play their next game against England at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy on 24 February, with the first ball set to be bowled at 6.30pm PKT.
