Patron's Trophy Grade-II Day Two Summary

Lahore, 15 April 2019: The Partron’s Trophy Grade II tournament second day’s play was held today at eight venues across the country. 

On the second day of Pool ‘A’ match between Haideri Traders and Omer Associates at the State Bank Ground in Karachi on Monday, Omer Associates were bowled out for 276 in 70 overs after resuming their first innings at 81 for three. For Omer Associates, Yasir Mushtaq scored 117-ball 71 with eight fours. For Haideri Traders, Syed Ali Mustafa Naqvi took six wickets for 81. In their second innings, Haideri Traders scored 60 for the loss of two wickets at stumps. 

On the second day of second match of Pool ‘A’ between Pakistan Navy and Civil Aviation Authority at the UBL Sports Complex in Karachi, Civil Aviation Authority scored 303 for the loss of nine wickets in 83 overs.

For Civil Aviation Authority, Ashfaq Ahmed scored 160-ball 116 with 13 fours. For Pakistan Navy, Raza ul Hassan took six wickets for 86. In their second innings, Pakistan Navy were 97 for the loss of six wickets in 24.1 overs at stumps. 

On the second day of the Pool (B) between Port Qasim and Candyland at the Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura, Candyland in reply to Port Qasim 277 were dismissed for 178 in 48.3 overs. Candyland on the second day resumed their innings on 12 for the loss of one wicket. For Port Qasim, Mohammad Talha took six wickets for 52. In their second innings, Port Qasim were 193 for seven in 33 overs at stumps. For Candyland, Marwan Mohammad took four for 34. 

On the second day of the Pool (B) match between Higher Education Commission and Ghani Glass at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, Ghani Glass in reply to Higher Education Commission 282 for five were bowled out for 212 in 62.5 overs. For Ghani Glass, Zeeshan Ashraf top-scored with 96-ball 64 with 10 fours. For Higher Education Commission, Asfand Mehran and Bilal Anwar took three wickets a piece. In the second innings, Higher Education Commission were 68 for one in 15 overs at stumps.

On the second day of the Pool (C) match between State Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Army at the Army Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi, Pakistan Army were bowled out for 297 in 74.4 overs after resuming their first innings at 19 for no loss. For Pakistan Army, Mohammad Fahad scored 127 off 176 balls with 10 fours and three sixes. For State Bank of Pakistan, Mohammad Ilyas and Mohammad Nawaz took three wickets each. In their second innings, State Bank of Pakistan were 36 for no loss in eight overs at stumps.

On the second day of the Pool (C) match between Pakistan International Airline and Pakistan Air Force at Diamond Ground in Islamabad, Pakistan Air Force resuming their first innings at 24 for no loss were bowled out for 451 in 82.5 overs. 

For Pakistan Air Force Umair Masood scored 120-ball 122 with 15 fours. Zeeshan Malik contributed with 80-ball 120 with 21 fours. For Pakistan International Airline, Ghulam Muhammad took four for 115. In their second innings, Pakistan International Airline were 15 for no loss at stumps. 

On the second day of the Pool (D) match between Pakistan Railways and Karachi Port Trust at the Railway Stadium in Lahore, Karachi Port Trust resumed their innings from one for no wicket and scored 276 for eight in 83 overs. For Karachi Port Trust, Faraz Patel scored 75 not out off 176 balls with nine fours. For Pakistan Railways, Hasan Mehmood took five wickets for 66. In the second innings, Pakistan Railways were 35 for no loss in eight overs at stumps.

On the second day of the Pool (D) match between Sabir’s Poultry and K. Electric at LCCA ground in Lahore, K. Electric in reply to Sabir’s Poultry first innings of 136 all out, were bowled out for 163 in 35.2 overs. For Sabir’s Poultry, Nisar Ahmed took four for 59. In their second innings, Sabir’s Poultry were 232 for three at stumps. For Sabir’s Poultry, Imran Dogar scored 119 off 151 balls with 22 fours.
