Rain disrupts day-one of the third round matches

Lahore, 24 October 2021: The third round matches of the National U19 Championship (three-day) commenced today with rain unfortunately playing spoil sport.

On the first-day, Sindh U19 Whites’ batter Habibullah scored a half-century.

In a Pool A fixture being played at the Lahore Country Club Muridke, Sindh U19 Whites managed to score 142 for five in 34.1 over on the back of Habibullah’s 66. For Northern U19 Whites, Jahandad Khan picked two for 38.

In another Pool A fixture being staged at the Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala, half-century from Abbas Ali helped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Whites post 174 for six in 53.5 overs.

For Southern Punjab Whites U19 Whites, Arfat Ahmed Minhas picked three wickets for 22 in 12 overs.

The third fixture of the Pool A between Balochistan U19 Whites and Central Punjab U19 Whites will take place tomorrow at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha.

In a Pool B fixture between Balochistan U19 Blues and Central Punjab U19 Blues only five balls play took place where Balochistan U19 Blues had scored four for no loss.

In another Pool B fixture being played at the National Cricket Ground Islamabad, Northern U19 Blues scored 94 for three in 27.4 overs before rain interrupted further day’s play. Haseeb Imran and Aseer Mughal returned undefeated on 33 and 29, respectively.

For Sindh U19 Blues, Asif Ali picked two for 23.

In another Pool B fixture that commenced at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues were 105 for two in 27 overs. Chaudhry Shuja top-scored with 43.
