Programmatic Overview: The Skills to Shine U17 program is a grassroots skill development program that has been initiated to provide a platform to identify new talent targeting and foster them into learning cricketing skills. The program has been initiated with trials being held in 5 zones and adjourning cities. The trials will be followed by a 20 days academy comprising of 25 players and 5 officials in each of the 5 zones. The academy will not only work on technical, tactical, mental & physical skills but will organize educational sessions pertaining to player's conduct, anti-corruption, anti-doping, nutrition, fitness and motivation/sports psychology etc.
Earlier, the plan for trials in 5 zones i.e. Karachi (Interior Sindh), Peshawar, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan was circulated. Now the schedule for U17 Girls trials in Lahore City has been announced:
