Superior College's Hassan Ali registers a five-fer on day six of Inter-College Ramadan T20 Cup

Lahore, 27 March, 2024: The sixth day of the Inter-College Ramadan T20 Cup saw three matches played  across three venues  in Lahore and Karachi. The matches scheduled to take place in Islamabad were called off due to rain.

Lahore

Superior College won against Government Dyal Singh College by nine wickets at LCCA Ground, Lahore. The 88-run opening parternership between Mohammad Zain ul Abideen (43, 31b, 7x4s, 1x6) and Sarfraz Riasat (38 not out, 32b, 5x4s) helped  Superior College chase Dyal Singh College’s target of 105 in 11.2 overs. Earlier, Superior College bowlers Hassan Ali, with a five-wicket haul, and Rana Mohammad Ghayas, with three wickets, had bundled over Government Dyal Singh College at 104 in 18.2 overs.

Karachi

Government Jinnah College beat Beaconhouse School System by nine wickets at Karachi’s Eid Gah Ground. Rizwan Khan’s unbeaten 51 off 33, with the back of seven boundaries,  complemented by Kashan Faheem’s unbeaten 19 off 22 allowed Jinnah College to chase Beaconhouse’s target of 95 runs in 12.1 overs. Earlier, Jinnah College bowlers succeeded in dismissing Beaconhouse at 94 in 20 overs, with Abdullah Ashfaq and Ghous Ibrahim picking two wickets each.

Government College 36-B Landhi won their match against Government College Asifabad by 54 runs at IBA Cricket Ground, Karachi. Government College 36-B Landhi’s Sufiyan (44, 45b, 2x4s, 3x6s) and Abdullah (36, 41b, 3x4s) managed a partnership of 70 runs to help post 125-8 in 20 overs. In return, bowlers Mohammad Ahad Ali bagged a four-wicket haul while Hassan Ali Khan and Saifullah Khan returned with two wickets each to dismiss Government College Asifabad for 71 in 18.1 overs.
