Beaconhouse, Aitchison to face off in final of PCB-Ghani Glass Schools Tournament

Lahore, 19 December 2025: Beaconhouse School will go up against Aitchison College in the final of the PCB-Ghani Glass 40-over School Cricket Tournament at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, 20 December.

The first ball of the final is scheduled to be bowled at 12pm with the toss taking place at 11.30am. Following the conclusion of the match, the fans and players alike will be treated to a grand fireworks show and renowned singer Havi’s musical concert.

The winner of the tournament will be awarded PKR 1 million, while the runners-up will grab cash prize of PKR 500,000. The player of the tournament will be awarded PKR 75,000, while the best batter, bowler and wicket-keeper of the tournament will bag PKR 50,000 cash prize. The player of the final will get PKR 25,000.

Entry will be free for the fans to four general enclosures, while the Fazal Mahmood enclosure will be open for the students and alumni of Beaconhouse and Aitchison both. The final match will be broadcast live on Fast Sports and streamed on Tamasha, Tapmad and PCB YouTube Channel for the fans witnessing the action from home.

The PCB-Ghani Glass Schools Tournament kicked off on 1 November with eight schools - Aitchison College, Beaconhouse, Crescent Grammar School, Gohar Education System, Moon Public School, Muslim Model High School, Pilot School, and The City School - playing a single-league round-robin format 40-over tournament.

Aitchison, Beaconhouse, The City School and Gohar Education finished top four and qualified for the semi-finals, which took place on 28 and 29 November. Both the finalists have so far won seven games each out of the eight that they have played so far and will look to go one better on Saturday to lift the trophy.

Among the top performers, Aitchison’s Ali Badshah stands out with 730 runs, while Beaconhouse’s Hamza Baloch is on the second spot with 438 runs. Umar Naveed of Crescent Grammar School and Aitchison’s Sudais Alam lead the bowling charts with 16 scalps each. Ayyan Salman Butt of Beaconhouse sits on the second position with 15 wickets.
