Chairman PCB Shaharyar Khan gives pep talk to Team Pakistan on Lord's Test eve

LONDON – July 13, 2016: PCB chairman Shaharyar Mohammad Khan came over to the Team Pakistan hotel to meet the boys and management on the eve of the Lord’s Test Wednesday, and gave them a pep talk.

He urged everyone to focus on playing hard cricket but without resorting to un-supporting tactics or displaying rancor.

“Play good cricket and be competitive in every sense of the word; give off your best on the field, but your conduct and demeanor at all times must portray nothing but grace.

“We are here to win matches, but also to win friends with our skill-set and also our conduct on and off the field. For us, Pakistan’s image must always come first. So, while I would expect everyone to give his best, nothing but hundred per cent, I also expect them to uphold the best tradition of the gentleman’s game,” said the PCB Chairman.

The meeting was subsequently addressed by head coach Mickey Arthur with manager Intikhab Alam giving concluding remarks.
