Masvingo, 9 January 2026: Pakistan U19 begin their preparations for the ICC U19 Men’s World Cup with a training session at the Masvingo Sports Club on Friday. The session, however was cut short due to rain.
Before the interruption, the players participated in net sessions and warm-up drills, with the coaching staff focusing on enhancing players’ skills and overall match readiness.
Prior to the start of training, head coach Shahid Anwar addressed the squad and emphasised the importance of discipline, commitment and confidence going into the tournament. Manager and mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed also interacted with the players, motivating them to express themselves on the field and play with belief at the ICC event.
Pakistan U19 are scheduled to play their warm-up match against Bangladesh at the Masvingo Sports Club on Saturday, 10 January.
