Schedule of training and media opportunities from 16-24 December

Lahore, 15 December 2019: The second cricket Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi from 19-23 December. The following is the schedule of media opportunities in the build up to and during the Test as well as important information for media planning to attend the match:

Monday, 16 December:

  • Both the teams have opted not to train. However, from 3.30pm-5pm, in the Conference Hall, Pearl Continental Hotel, the PCB has arranged an open media session, which is expected to be attended by, at least, four players from each side
  • When arriving for the open media session, the media are strongly advised to carry and display their PCB 2019-20 season passes. As there may be delays due to security screening and checking, the media are requested to arrive well before the scheduled start to avoid any inconvenience
  • Media contacts for the open media session are Raza Kitchlew  and Emmad Ahmed Hameed 

Tuesday, 17 December:

  • Both the teams will hold practice sessions at the National Stadium from 10am. Afterwards, both the team coaches will be available for press conference. For further information, please contact Raza Kitchlew 

Wednesday, 18 December:

  • Both the teams will hold training sessions at the National Stadium from 10am. Afterwards, both the captains will hold their pre-match media conferences. For further information, please contact Raza Kitchlew or Emmad Ahmed Hameed
  • At 3.15pm at the National Stadium, PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan will hold a media conference. For further information, please contact Sami Ul Hasan

Thursday, 19 December:

  •  Toss will take place at 9.30am and the first ball will be bowled at 10am. After the end of the day’s play, there will be media conferences. For further information, please contact Raza Kitchlew or Emmad Ahmed Hameed

Friday, 20 December:

  • Play will resume at 9.50am and a one-hour lunch/prayer break will take place from 12.30pm-1.30pm. Tea break will be from 3.15pm-3.35pm. After the end of the day’s play, there will be media conferences which will be attended by the star performers of the day. For further information, please contact Raza Kitchlew or Emmad Ahmed Hameed

21-23 December:

  • Play will resume at 10am and at the end of the play/match, there will be media conferences. For further information, please contact Raza Kitchlew or Emmad Ahmed Hameed

Tuesday, 24 December:

  • PCB Chairman Mr Ehsan Mani will hold a media conference at the National Stadium at 11am. For further information, please contact Sami Ul Hasan

Media accreditation passes

Media accreditation passes will be available for collection on Tuesday, 17 December, between 1100 and 1500 from Room No. 4, Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre. For further information on media accreditation passes, please contact Emmad Ahmed Hameed  or Shakeel Khan

Media shuttle service

The following is the schedule of media shuttle service from 19-23 December:

  1. Media Shuttle No.1 – From Karachi Hockey Association (KHA), Gate 2, Opposite Aligarh University, to the NSK at 8.45am. Departure for Karachi Hockey Association (KHA), one hour after the second media conference
  2. Media Shuttle No.2 – From Karachi Press Club (KPC). Departure for NSK at 8.30am. Departure for KPC one hour after the second media conference

Media working areas

  • On non-match days, media working areas will be operational from 9am-6pm
  • On match days, media working areas will be operational from 8.30am-7pm
  • The press box facilities will include desk seats, power-points, wi-fi, running tea/coffee/snacks
  • Breakfast will be served from 9am-10.30am, while lunch will be served from 12.30pm-2pm
  • All press conferences will take place in the Press Conference Room, behind the right hand side press box, Level 4

Filming inside the NSK

  • The videographers are ONLY allowed to cover post-day’s play media conferences. The PCB reserves right to take action against any journalist breaching its rights protecting policy
  • Filming is allowed inside the venue on non-match days. Meaning the videographers can cover the teams’ training sessions and press conferences.
