DMC beat La Salle to win PCB Faisalabad Commissioner Super Eight Schools Cup

Faisalabad, 27 December 2025: Divisional Model College (DMC) beat La Salle High School by 27 runs at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Saturday afternoon to win the PCB Faisalabad Commissioner Super Eight Schools Cup.

The 31-match tournament concluded with La Salle’s eight-match winning streak coming to an end as they were bowled out for 202 in 34 overs. For La Salle Abdul Raheem Ashraf and Hamid Raza struck half-centuries after their team slipped to 72-3 in 12.4 overs.

Abdul Raheem (61, 60b, 2x4s, 4x6s) and Hamid (56, 52b, 3x4s, 4x6s) also stitched a 83-run stand but in vain as DMC’s bowlers led by Ali Hassan (4-39) eked out seven wickets for 45 runs in eight overs. Apart from Ali, Shahwaiz Mudassar picked up two wickets, while Muhammad Arman and Abdul Mooed dismissed one batter each.

Earlier, DMC posted 229-8 in the allotted 35 overs on the back of a second-wicket 114-run partnership between opening batter Muhammad Burhan and Muhammad Sheraz. Opening batter Shahwaiz departed for 20 off 25 balls with the help of three fours with 39 runs on the board in 6.4 overs before Burhan and Sheraz joined forces in the middle.

Sheraz top-scored with a handy 88 off 70 balls hitting three fours and six sixes during his outing before Hussnain Raza castled him in the 28th over. Burhan’s stay in the middle lasted for 61 balls scoring 47 runs comprising three fours.

La Salle bowlers struck at regular intervals after breaking the second-wicket stand at the score of 153 in the 24th over as DMC lost eight wickets for 76 runs in 11.4 overs. For DMC, Hussnain and skipper Muhammad Ali Sabir picked up two wickets each.
