Karachi, 27 September 2025: Komal Khan’s half-century and three wickets from Minahil Parvaiz led Stars to a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Strikers in the opening round match of the National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament at the HPC Oval Ground in Karachi.
In the second match of the day, five-wicket haul by Maheen Irfan led Conquerors to a 15-run win over Challengers at the National Bank Stadium.
Batting first at the Oval Ground, Strikers managed to score 96 for six in their 20 overs with skipper Zoofishan Ayyaz (25, 28b, 2x4s) top-scoring. Stars’ Minahil was the top wicket-taker, bagging three wickets for 12 in four overs.
In turn, Stars’ captain and wicketkeeper-batter Komal scored a quick-fire 56 off 30 balls, which included nine fours and two sixes to help her side achieve the target in 9.5 overs.
At the National Bank Stadium, chasing 110 to win, Challengers were dismissed for 94 in 18.5 overs with Conquerors right-arm leg-spinner Maheen Irfan taking five wickets for 6 runs in 2.5 overs.
Earlier, batting first, Conquerors posted 109 for six in their 20 overs. Opening batter Sabina Noor top-scored for the side with an unbeaten 32.
On Sunday, 28 September, Stars will take on Challengers at the National Bank Stadium, while Conquerors will face Strikers at the HPC Oval Ground. Both matches will begin at 2.30pm, with the toss taking place at 2pm.
