Lahore, 14 November 2025: The opening day of the National Women’s One-Day Tournament saw 2025-26 saw Conquerors and Challengers emerge victorious on the back of match-winning half-centuries from Maham Anees and Ayesha Zafar, respectively on Friday.
Fatima Sana-led Conquerors opened their account in the tournament with a thumping 111-run win over Stars at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Opting to bat first, Conquerors posted 209 all out in 46.5 overs.
Player of the match Maham Anees (53, 106b, 5x4s) stitched a 76-run fourth-wicket stand with Fatima (49, 45b, 3x4s, 2x6s), while wicketkeeper-batter Sidra Nawaz scored 40-ball 33 hitting three fours. For Stars, Anosha Nasir, Syeda Aroob Shah and Syeda Masooma Zahra picked up two wickets each.
In turn, Stars collapsed from 73-2 to 98 all out following the departure of their skipper and opening batter Omaima Sohail (37, 67b, 4x4s). Amber Kainat (3-10) and Zunash Abdul Sattar (2-13) shared five wickets among them.
In the other match of the first round, Challengers chased down the 228-run target set by Invincibles with 82 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand at the HPC Ground, Faisalabad. Challengers Ayesha Zafar, in her player of the match performance, struck unbeaten 93 off 103 balls hitting 13 fours.
Ayesha gathered 122 runs alongside Sadaf Shamas (54, 65b, 5x4s, 2x6s) while opening before stitching unbeaten 67-run stand with Eyman Fatima (30 not out, 23b, 5x4s) for the fourth wicket.
Earlier, Muneeba Ali’s half-century (61, 62b, 11x4s) and handy contributions from Dua Majid (44, 65b, 4x4s), Hafsa Khalid (37, 44b, 3x4s), Fatima Khan (27, 34b, 4x4s) and Tuba Hassan (24, 26b, 3x4s) led Invincibles past 200-run mark before getting bowled out for 227 in 46.3 overs.
Muneeba and Dua shared 76 runs for the second wicket, while Hafsa and Tuba put on 60 runs for the fifth wickets. Aleena Shah, Rameen Shamim, Neha Sharmin Nadeem and Waheeda Akhtar picked up two wickets each.
