Day-long regional coaches workshop held at Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre

  • Head and Assistant coaches from Six Regions were invited to the special workshop

Multan, 20 September 2025: The Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre (IHPC) in Multan hosted a one-day workshop on 20 September for coaches from six regions the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Saturday.

Coaches part of the team management of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Faisalabad, Lahore Blues, Karachi Whites, Hyderabad and Quetta Regions participated in the workshop.

Shahid Aslam – National Cricket Academy’s Head of Coach Education and Development - led the workshop, which comprised of lectures and various activities on coaching challenges in this day and age, getting performances under pressure, planning and curation of coaching methods and effective use of Data and Technology.

Former first-class player and currently head of IHPC Umar Rasheed assisted in the workshop. The coaches also engaged in a feedback session not just on the learnings of the day but also on their own perspectives of modern-day coaching and mentoring.

Previously, a similar day-long workshop was arranged for coaches of Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Karachi, Larkana, Multan and Rawalpindi Regions at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi on Monday, 15 September.

The PCB considers coach development an important factor in overall development of the game and players across the country and in the same vein it keeps on making use of all possible avenues to enhance and upskill domestic cricket coaches.
