Rawalpindi’s Awais Anwar fined for code of conduct breach
Lahore, 2 September 2025: Rawalpindi Region fast bowler Mohammad Awais Anwar has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee for a level 1 breach during his side’s first round Hanif Mohammad Trophy fixture against FATA Region at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi from 29 August to 1 September.
Awais was found to have violated Article 2.1 of the PCB Code of Conduct for the Players and Player Support Personnel, for excessive appealing.
The incident occurred on the fifth ball of the 32nd over of FATA’s second innings, when he appealed excessively after it was turned down.
The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Imran Jawed and Ghulam Sarwar, while match referee Iftikhar Ahmed imposed the fine.
