Overnight rain forces day-four washout in Rawalpindi

Karachi, 14 December 2019: The entire day’s play was lost due to wet outfield as day-four of the ICC World Test Championship match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka ended as a washout at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Overnight rain and wet outfield forced the players off the field in the morning session and when there were no prospects left of play after the scheduled lunch break umpires Michael Gough and Richard Kettleborough announced the cancellation of play.

Sunday, is the fifth and final day of the rain marred Test in which only 91.5 overs have been bowled in the first four days with Sri Lanka yet to complete their first innings.
