Lahore, 27 June 2020: The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed its sadness at the passing of former Test cricketer Khalid Wazir.

Khalid, 84, was the 16th player to represent Pakistan in Test cricket and he breathed his last in Chester.

Khalid was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium fast bowler and played two Tests – both during Pakistan’s historic tour of England in 1954, when Abdul Hafeez Kardar’s Pakistan came back from behind to draw the series 1-1 in the fourth and final Test.

His first-class career stretched 18 matches in which he took 14 wickets and scored 271 runs.
