Women's series to be live-streamed

  • PCB announces free entry to Gaddafi Stadium in a bid to attract fans and support cricket

Lahore, 25 October 2019: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will live-stream all five women’s internationals between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which gets under way from Saturday, on its Youtube channel.

It will be an eight-camera coverage, with commentary panel including former internationals Mujahid Jamshed and Yasir Hameed (T20Is only) and experienced voices of Hassan Cheema, Mohammad Salman, Tariq Saeed, Raja Asad Ali Khan and Shamsa Hashmi.

The decision to live-stream the matches has been made to take cricket to wider audience, which, in turn, will enhance the profile of women’s cricket and help in the promotion and growth of the game.

The PCB had earlier live-streamed the 26 September National Triangular One-Day Women’s Cricket Championship final in which PCB Blasters defeated PCB Challengers by six runs.

The PCB, as part of its expanded and comprehensive coverage of the 2019-20 season, live-streamed four matches of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, while a further six will be live-streamed when the tournament resumes on 28 October.

The following is the schedule of upcoming live-stream matches:

Pakistan v Bangladesh women’s series:

26 October – 1st T20I (1.00pm-3.45pm), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

28 October – 2nd T20I (10am-12.45pm), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

30 October – 3rd T20I (10am-12.45pm), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

2 November – 1st ODI (9.30am-4.35pm), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

4 November – 2nd ODI (9.30am-4.35pm), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

Quaid-e-Azam Trophy:

28-31 October – Balochistan v Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bugti Stadium, Quetta

4-7 November – Southern Punjab v Balochistan, Bugti Stadium, Quetta

11-14 November – Sindh v Northern, National Stadium, Karachi

18-21 November – Sindh v Central Punjab, National Stadium, Karachi

25-28 November – Southern Punjab v Sindh, National Stadium, Karachi

2-5 December – Northern v Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, UBL Sports Complex, Karachi

Meanwhile, the PCB has announced free entry to the Gaddafi Stadium, encouraging fans to come and support women’s cricket.

Fans can enter through Gate 1 and Gate 2 after showing their CNIC cards.

The fans can enter the Nishtar Park Sports Complex through FIFA Gate, Ferozepur Road, and park their cards in the Football Ground Parking.
