Dubai, 14 September 2025: India beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the sixth fixture of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday evening. This was Pakistan’s first defeat in the eight-team tournament, while India extended their unbeaten run in Group A.

After opting to bat, Pakistan managed 127 for nine in their allotted 20 overs. Opening batter Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with a 44-ball 40, which included three sixes and a four. Lower down the order, Shaheen Shah Afridi struck a quickfire unbeaten 33 off 16 balls, laced with four towering sixes.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets apiece.

In turn, India achieved the target in 15.5 overs for the loss of three wickets. Captain Suryakumar Yadav remained not out on 47 off 37 balls, which included five fours and a six. Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma contributed 31 runs each.

For Pakistan, Saim Ayub was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 35 runs.

Pakistan will now face UAE in their third match of the tournament on Wednesday, 17 September.
