Karachi Whites, Azad Jammu and Kashmir bag victories in rain-hit seventh round of National U19 Cup

Lahore, 6 October 2025: The seventh round of the National U19 Cup saw only two Group B fixtures unfold as rains across other venues led to the abandonment of six matches without the toss taking place on Monday, 6 October.

The penultimate and eighth round of the tournament has been rescheduled to take place on Thursday, 9 October instead of Wednesday, 8 October due to inclement weather.

At the Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar, Karachi Whites romped to a seven-wicket victory over Islamabad as they overcame the 90-run target in 12 overs. Earlier, Niqab Shafiq and Azman Hussain’s three strikes each with the ball bundled out Islamabad for a mere 89 in 19.2 overs.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir overcame Hyderabad in a last-over chase as they surmounted the 171-run target with five balls to spare in a rain-hit 25-over game.

Vital contributions from AJK’s Uzair Naveed (52, 45b, 2x4s, 1x6), Ahmad Raza (48, 53b, 2x4s, 1x6) and Bilal Waheed (39, 23b, 5x4s, 2x6s) helped their team get over the line from being 57-3 at one point.
