National U19 Three-Day: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Haseeb scores century

Lahore, 23 November 2020: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Haseeb Khan struck a century to help his side take a 109-run first innings lead over Balochistan on day two of their National U19 Three-Day Tournament match against Balochistan at the Ayub Park Ground in Rawalpindi.

Balochistan U19 v Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19, Ayub Park Ground, Rawalpindi:

Resuming their innings on 121 for three in 33 overs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared their innings on 194 for nine in 57.2 overs. Haseeb who remained unbeaten on 65 off 109 balls, the previous day, went on to score 104 from 170 balls. His innings included 13 fours and a six.

For Balochistan, Kabir Raj took four wickets for 54, while Mohammad Ibrahim Snr and Jahangir Khan grabbed two wickets apiece.

In return, trailing by 109 runs, Balochistan managed to score 92 for one in 23 overs when stumps were drawn. Basit Ali (54 off 70 balls) and Haseebullah (30 off 55 balls) will resume their innings tomorrow. The duo to date had contributed an unbeaten 80 runs stand for the second wicket.

Northern U19 v Southern Punjab U19, National Ground, Islamabad:

Only 19.3 overs were bowled on day two as the play was disrupted due to rain. Northern managed to score 98 for two in 24.3 overs. Mohammad Shoaib Khan top-scored with an unbeaten 58 off 81 balls, laced with four fours and a six. He contributed an unbroken 45-run alliance with Mubashir Khan (24 off 35 balls, three fours) for the third wicket.

Central Punjab U19 v Sindh U19, Army Sports Ground, Rawalpindi:

Saim Ayub struck nine fours and a six in his 125-ball 81 runs innings as Sindh managed to score 214 for five in 57 overs when stumps were drawn. Resuming their innings on 22 for no loss in seven fours, openers Saim and Mubashir Nawaz provided a solid start as they contributed 135 runs for the first wicket. Mubashir scored 63 from 86 balls, which included eight fours and a six.

For Central Punjab, Ali Asfand took three wickets for 69, while Arham Nawab grabbed two wickets.
