Abbottabad, 30 May 2025: Shahid Ali’s four-wicket haul helped Sahir Associates bundle out MIT Solutions for just 135 in their first innings on the second day of the final of the President’s Trophy Grade II at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium on Friday afternoon. At stumps, Sahir Associates were 52 for no loss in seven overs, leading by 189 runs.
On a day when only 49 overs were bowled due to a delayed start caused by rain, MIT Solutions resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 46 for one in 16 overs. Mohammad Tayyab was the top run-getter (36 not out, 65b, 4x4s, 2x6s) for MIT Solutions as the latter were dismissed in 41.5 overs.
Left-arm pacer Shahid took four wickets for 60 runs in 12.5 overs, while Khan Zeb, Mohsin Khan and Muhammad Bilawal bagged two wickets apiece.
On the third day (Saturday), Sahir Associates will look to consolidate their position by taking a huge lead in the match, while MIT Solutions will aim to take wickets to get back into the contest.
