Karachi, 6 October 2025: Strikers and Conquerors triumphed in the semi-finals of the National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament on Monday evening at the National Bank Stadium and HPC Oval Ground in Karachi.
The two teams will now meet in the final of the four-team tournament on Wednesday at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
In semi-final one, Strikers downed Challengers by eight wickets at the National Bank Stadium. After being put in to bat first, Challengers managed to score 96-8 in their 20 overs with Ravail Farhan (27, 34b, 3x4s) being the top scorer.
For Strikers, Narjis Bibi bagged 3-22 in her four overs while Zainab Khanum (1-7), Memoona Khalid (1-12), Sumaiya Taj (1-15) and Aqsa Habib (1-18) chipped in with one wicket apiece.
In turn, Strikers chased down the target in 16 overs, securing an eight-wicket victory. Opening batter Fizza Fiaz top-scored with a 26-ball 33 comprising two fours and three sixes. Fizza also shared a 49-run opening stand with Meerab Sheikh (14, 28b, 1x4s).
For her solitary wicket with the ball and an unbeaten 28-ball 24 including four boundaries with the bat, Aqsa was named the joint-player of the match along with Narjis.
At the HPC Oval Ground, Conquerors got the better of Stars by eight wickets. After batting first, Stars posted 125-3 in their 20 overs with contributions from Raahima Syed (33, 32b, 3x4s) and skipper Komal Khan (30, 35b, 5x4s).
Esha Tir Razia and Areesha Ansari also chipped in with 23 runs each with the latter remaining unbeaten. For Strikers, Barira Saif grabbed one wicket for 15 runs in three overs.
In turn, Conquerors chased down the target with eight wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare, led by player of the match Sabiha Noor (44, 49b, 2x4s) and Dina Razvi’s (34, 37b, 3x4s) 86-run opening wicket partnership.
Samiya Afsar strengthened her position on the top of the batting charts with an unbeaten cameo of 32 off 15 balls including three fours and two sixes, taking her tally to 239 runs in seven innings in the tournament.
